Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. “Similar technologies” include pixels, tags, and the browser’s local and session storage. This policy explains which ones kanvas.dev uses and why, and is part of our Privacy Policy.
2. Strictly Necessary and Functional
These make the Site work and remember choices you make. They do not require consent.
- Language preference — we store your chosen language (key kanvas-lang) in your browser’s local storage so the Site opens in it next time.
- Campaign attribution — UTM parameters and the page variant you saw are kept in session storage until you close the tab.
- Spam protection — Google reCAPTCHA runs on forms and may set its own cookies to tell humans from bots.
3. Analytics
These help us understand how the Site is used so we can improve it.
- Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 — page views, events (such as clicks on calls to action) and aggregated audience information.
- Microsoft Clarity — anonymised session replays and heatmaps showing how visitors scroll and click.
4. Advertising and Measurement
These measure the effect of our campaigns.
- Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API — record visits and conversions (for example a submitted walkthrough request) so we can measure and optimise ads on Meta platforms.
5. Third-Party Cookies
Analytics and advertising cookies are set by the providers above and are governed by their policies. They may combine information across sites they operate.
6. How to Control Cookies
You can manage cookies in several ways:
- browser settings — block or delete cookies and clear local and session storage (consult your browser’s help pages);
- Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout;
- your advertising controls on Meta and Google, or industry tools such as youronlinechoices.eu and optout.aboutads.info;
- the “Global Privacy Control” or “Do Not Track” signals, which you can enable in many browsers.
7. Effect of Blocking
Blocking strictly necessary items may stop forms or the language setting from working. Blocking analytics or advertising items does not affect how the Site works for you.
8. Changes to This Policy
We update this list when the tags on the Site change. The “Last updated” date shows the latest revision.
